What's the point of this web site?
|
I've been asked a few times "what's the point of your web site?", and people get into deeper detail and tell me that pretty much all of the information I have can already be found on other web sites, in books, or from other such sources.

Building polyhedra with Magnetix, part 1

Magnetix, the magnetic construction toy where bars and other shapes have powerful magnets that attract steel balls (and one another). They can be used to build the "skeletons" of some polyhedra, including some that can't be built with more "serious" polyhedra-related toys like Zome. This article has some general information about Magnetix, along with data for the most simple of polyhedra.

Web site, version 2.5
|
I am finally ready to roll out what I want to call "version 2.5" of my web site. This is a significant update over version 2.0, which had been around for about 5 years. It's still a bit rough in some areas that will be refined over time, but it'll be good enough for me to start writing a few things that I feel like writing about.

Back with no vengeance
|
There's been a hiatus in the way I've maintained this web site, a gap, a break, a layoff. It's quite visible if you look at the dates at which I posted articles: there hasn't been anything new for the last 2 1/2 years. I am now back, I have the tools in place to be able to update this site again, and there are a few things that I'd like to write about.
